Alison Barwell

As Head of HR I work closely with colleagues and the senior management teams in the UK and US at JCRA to address all people issues. I also manage our business support team and chair the employee forum. My key areas of responsibility are employee relations, recruitment and retention, training and development, reward, cultural transformation and performance management. I have over 25 years of extensive HR experience in adding strategic value and commercial insight, ensuring collaborative relationships across global businesses. I thrive when addressing complex HR issues, working with multi-functional teams, and am always considered a collaborative trusted adviser. I joined JCRA in September 2016. Previously I was HR Director at Sanlam, as well as a FCA registered CF1 Executive Board Director and member of the Exco and HR & Remuneration Committee. I have a BA Hons in French & English from Kings College London University and I am a member of the CIPD. – In my spare time I somehow manage to keep up with my three children who all share a love of the outdoors and can ski, sail and swim faster than me.
